During the course of his career, Nick has handled well over 2,000 personal injury claims. He has tried over 100 cases and has recovered over $200 Million for his clients. Nick was born in Brooklyn, New York. He was raised in Middlesex County, N.J. where he currently resides with his wife of over 20 years and their two children. Nick obtained his B.S in finance from St. Johns University in New York in 1988.

In 1991, Nick received his J.D from Seton Hall University School Of Law. Following graduation, he completed a prestigious judicial clerkship with the Honorable Hermann Breitkopf, the assignment judge for The Middlesex County Superior Court. In 1992, Nick began his career in private practice for a very well-respected personal injury firm in Middlesex County. In only five years, he became their youngest partner and remained partner until he became the founding partner of Stathis & Leonardis in 2002.

Nick’s special interest has always been in the representation of accident victims. He is their voice against the big insurance companies who deny his clients what they are entitled to.

Nick takes great pride in the personal attention he provides each of his clients and the special relationship he has built with each of them. All clients have his personal cell number in the event that an emergency arises. All clients are treated like members of his family because they are all a part of his “Stathis & Leonardis” family.

As a “Certified Civil Trial Attorney” Nick has obtained a distinction possessed by only 2-3% of the attorneys in the entire State of New Jersey. As a result of his experience in litigation and trial technique, he has repeatedly been invited to lecture for multiple organizations to speak to other fellow lawyers about trial technique, trial strategy, and technology in the courtrooms.

Every year between 2013 and 2018, Nick was acknowledged as a “Super Lawyer” by the New Jersey Law Journal and since 2013, Nick was named a “Top Lawyer” by New Jersey Monthly Magazine.

Nick is proud of his Pro Bono services as well. He has been an active member of “Trial Lawyers Care” (T.L.C). This organization of trial lawyers represented victims and families of the World Trade Center tragedy. He represented one of the few survivors and was able to secure his client the second largest recovery from the fund dedicated for the victims.

Nick is the past president of the Middlesex County Trial Lawyers Association and a past member of the Board Of Governor for the NJ Division of the American Trial Lawyers Association.
